This User Agreement supplements and is incorporated into our Terms of Service. It covers the specifics of playing and progressing on L.O.S Farms. Where anything here conflicts with the Terms of Service on a general legal matter (liability, intellectual property, governing law), the Terms of Service control; where this Agreement is more specific about gameplay, this Agreement controls.
1. This Is a Fan-Made Preservation Project
L.O.S Farms recreates the original FarmVille experience for nostalgia and preservation purposes. It is built on original, unmodified (except where necessary for the game to run outside its original environment) Zynga game assets and data. We are a small, unofficial, non-commercial community effort — not Zynga, not a licensee of Zynga, and not able to offer the support, uptime guarantees, or permanence that an official commercial game would.
2. Virtual Currency and Items Have No Real-World Value
"Farm Cash," "Coins"/"Gold," crops, animals, buildings, decorations, and any other virtual currency or item on L.O.S Farms (collectively, "Virtual Items"):
- have no real-world monetary value and are not redeemable for cash, cryptocurrency, goods, or services of any kind;
- cannot be purchased with real money on this Service (see Terms of Service, Section 2);
- cannot be sold, traded, or transferred outside the Service, and any attempted transfer outside official in-Service mechanisms (like the Auction House) is void and may result in account suspension;
- are licensed to you for use within the Service only, are not your property, and do not survive account termination or Service discontinuation;
- may be added, removed, adjusted, reset, or wiped by us at any time, for any reason — including to fix bugs, correct exploits, rebalance the game, or in connection with Service maintenance — without compensation.
3. Your Farm, Progress, and Account
Your account, farm, level, inventory, and all associated progress are a revocable license to use the Service, not property you own. We do not guarantee that your progress will be preserved indefinitely, will survive a server migration or reset, or will be recoverable if lost due to a bug, hardware failure, or any other cause. Back up anything meaningful to you outside the Service if that matters to you — for example, using the account data export feature in your profile settings, where available.
4. Fair Play
To keep the Service enjoyable for everyone, you agree not to:
- exploit bugs or glitches for unfair advantage rather than reporting them;
- use bots, macros, scripts, or third-party automation tools to play on your behalf (the sanctioned Discord mini-games we provide are the only exception);
- buy, sell, or trade accounts or Virtual Items outside the Service's own systems;
- attempt to manipulate the leaderboard, the Auction House, or any reward system through account multiplicity or collusion.
5. Moderation
Our staff may ban, suspend, warn, or adjust the account or Virtual Items of any player, at our sole discretion, for violating these terms or for any conduct we reasonably believe is harmful to the Service or its community. Moderation decisions are final. An internal audit log of significant moderation and currency actions is maintained for our own accountability, but is not published or guaranteed to be shared with affected players.
6. Linking Discord
If you choose to link a Discord account, you authorize us to associate your Discord identity with your farm account for purposes including account recovery, in-Discord commands and mini-games, and community moderation. You can unlink your Discord account from your profile settings at any time; doing so does not delete your farm account. Your use of Discord itself remains subject to Discord Inc.'s own terms, which we do not control and are not responsible for.
7. Age Requirement
Reaffirming Section 3 of the Terms of Service: you must be at least 13 years old to play, and if you are a minor in your jurisdiction, a parent or guardian must have agreed to these terms on your behalf.
8. Acknowledgment
By playing on L.O.S Farms, you acknowledge that you understand this is an unofficial fan project built on someone else's intellectual property without a license, that it is offered for free with no guarantee of continued operation, and that your Virtual Items and progress could be lost, or the Service discontinued entirely, at any time as described in the Terms of Service.
