Leagues were FarmVille's big limited-time events (the game called the later ones festivals): each had its own farm, orders to fill, rewards along the way, and a bonus building at the end. Zynga's servers ran them, so they stopped working when FarmVille closed. L.O.S Farms has rebuilt 27 of them.
Staff switch events on one at a time. When one is on, its farm appears in your Travel menu (from level 5), and a season lasts as long as the original event did, starting the day it's switched on. Event chat rooms open while it runs.
How most events work
- Orders: fill the orders on the event's board (grow crops, harvest animals, craft, spend coins, and so on). Each finished order earns points, or the event's own currency.
- Your day: points unlock the day's rewards. In many events, going past a reward level uses the event's currency, which you earn from rewards and packages or ask friends for.
- Stuck on an order? Trash it and a new one arrives after a short wait (or right away for 1 Farm Cash), or finish it straight away with Farm Cash.
- Leaderboards: in the league events your points put you on the week's leaderboard, and the top farmers win prizes.
- The bonus building: how well you did decides which bonus building you get at the end. It gives you a gift every day.
- The day turns over at midnight US Eastern time (05:00 UTC).

Race to 1,000 points
Samba in Rio, Emberhill Adventure, and Alaskan Summer: finish orders for points and race three rival farmers to 1,000. Milestone gifts arrive at 100, 300, and 600 points. At 1,000 you choose one of the event's buildings, which replaces the one you've been growing all event.
Food races: Pelican Reef and Magic of Morocco
The same race to 1,000 points, plus weekly awards and franchises: shops that make points for you every 12 hours. Clearing the farm's tiles earns points too. After you finish, a week of daily challenges follows.
Hand of Destiny (Straits of Ardour)
A game costs 4 runes. You collect 4 a day, or buy packs. A prize is hidden on a 10 × 10 board, and each pick shows how close you were. Find it in time to win 20 moonstones, which you spend in the event's reward shop.
Rock, Paper, Shivers (Shadow Creek)
A game costs 4 Tricky Treats. You collect 4 a day, get more for clearing tiles, or buy packs. Each prize needs a number of wins (2 to 10): pick the prize you're playing for, then win games toward it. The farm's bonus building gives a coupon a day, traded for an item from its category.
The holiday calendar (The Winter Noel)
Twenty stages, each with three tasks: usually something to do, a recipe to craft, and Letters to Santa to send. Each finished stage earns a gift that opens on its date. Stages 12, 17, and 20 also give a special animal if you reach them before their date.
The settlement (The Frontier Trail)
Orders earn pickaxes. Pickaxes buy foraging trips to three areas, each bringing back 3 resources to your barn (which holds a limited amount). Craft resources into items for points: milestone gifts at 300, 900, and 1,800 points, and the finish prize at 3,000. Three recipes each day are worth half as much again. The trading post swaps a resource for another one after a while.
The monster lab (Castle Kaputstone)
Orders earn firebolts. Each firebolt breaks one glass cell of a 10 × 12 grid. Behind the glass are the four pieces of a monster part, a spare firebolt (2 back), or a bonus item. Uncover every piece of a part to win its animal; four parts finish an invention, and there are four inventions: 16 prizes in all.
The bakery (Coco Wonderland)
- Orders earn coupons. Fill the order board's orders (press Earn). You start with 10 coupons.
- Buy ingredients. Hover an ingredient on the shelf: Get buys one with coupons (some are free), and ADD puts one on your station.
- Cook. Put in the ingredients a customer's pie needs (hover a pie to see them) and press Cook. Pies take 3 minutes.
- Serve. Serving a pie a customer ordered pays its dimes, and a new customer takes their place.
- Grow the kitchen. 10 and 20 dimes in a day open the second and third stations and pay the day's gifts (35 pays the last).
Each week brings a new menu. At the end, your average day turns the Coco Cake Lady into one of three bakeries.
Treats (Spook O Ween and Maple Frontier)
Each week three visitors (trick-or-treaters, or hungry animals) want treats. Orders earn the week's three basic treats. Give a visitor two basic treats for 1 point, or add the special treat a station makes from them for 3 points and a thrilled visitor. Clearing the farm's tiles earns points too. Points pay milestone gifts and badge levels, and your badge level picks the bonus building at the end.
Escape tokens
Spookstown Soiree and Coastal Countryside Tropical Market used escape tokens from FarmVille 2: Tropic Escape, a mobile game that's gone. On L.O.S Farms every finished order earns an escape token instead. Spend 3 on a boost that makes your next 5 orders count double, and collect enough to unlock extra land. The game still mentions Tropic Escape in a few places; you can ignore that.
Things that changed from the original
- Community goals in Old World Expedition and Madagascar Trails were sized for millions of players, so they're smaller here.
- Highland Adventures allows 10 orders a day before you play for the leaderboard.
- Bora Bora's bonus buildings go by stars earned: 30, 60, 100, or 140 stars, and all four for a perfect season (170).
- In the races to 1,000 points, the rival farmers' pace was set for the original dates, so you'll always pull ahead of them.
- Shadow Creek's games were played against other farmers through a matchmaking server that's gone; you play on your own now.
