How this version looked

Expansions make a farm bigger. In FarmVille the word also came to mean the themed farms players travel between; those have their own page, Travel & Worlds.

Expanding a farm

Open the Market's Expansions tab on the farm you want to grow. Each size step costs coins (and needs a level) or Farm Cash, and adds land around the edge of the farm. Every farm is expanded separately.

What you find past the fence

On many travel farms, new land comes with that farm's treasures: Haunted Hollow's tombs, Winter Wonderland's snow gifts, Hawaii's flotsam, chests, rubble, and more. The farms with treasures are Haunted Hollow, Hawaiian Paradise, Winter Wonderland, Jade Falls, Enchanted Glen, Atlantis, Australia, Celestial Pastures, Sweet Acres, Mystical Groves, Holiday Lights, Fields of El Dorado, Emerald Valley, Mediterranean Riviera, Oasis Gardens, Horseman's Hollow, Fairytale Fields, and Toy Town.

  • Open a treasure with its tool (pickaxe, mallet, net and so on, 1 Farm Cash each) or with Complete Now.
  • Each treasure turns into one of that farm's decorations, animals, or trees, and gives you a tool toward the next one.
  • Some expansions come with a free building: Haunted Hollow's aviary, Jade Falls' orchard, Hawaii's water tractor, and others.
  • Rubble treasures and land bundles can be placed like any other building.

Tips

  • Expand before you decorate, so you don't have to move everything to the new edge.
  • Some events add land too: in the escape-token leagues, collecting tokens unlocks extra land (see Leagues).
